This small book is a kind of a "Jolly Alphabet" of the Armenian language. Its First Part is addressed to all little children, from infants to 10 - 12 and even more years old. All the quatrains are jolly, unexpected, amazing, simple and witty. The book is intended to encourage the child's love of books and love of learning. If in a quatrain there is a word or expression, which the child may not understand than it is explained in the footnote of the page. Very often these explanations are small and useful lessons on their own. The SECOND PART is the shortest and simplest - but scientifically document - history of the creation and evolution of the Armenian alphabet. There are also some considerations on the ancient Armenian musical notes and a very brief description of the old Armenian letter numerical system. This second part is addressed to the general readers, as it contains some basic information, which is not well known even to most of the intellectuals. Actually, the second part is a sort of very succinct children encyclopaedia on the mentioned fields.
